The App — Tier 1 Dark 30
Data Collected
None.
Network Calls
Zero. The app operates in full airplane mode. The only exception is the optional one-time download of offline topographic map tiles (MBTiles), which is user-initiated. No data is transmitted during this download beyond a standard HTTP request to retrieve the file.
Analytics
None. No Firebase, no Crashlytics, no third-party SDKs that report usage.
Location
The compass and topo map tools access on-device GPS. This data is used only on-device, in real time, for display purposes. It is never transmitted, never logged, never stored beyond the active session.
Purchase Data
One-time in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Tier 1 Dark 30 / Tier-1 Off-Grid receives no financial data, no card data, and no personal identifying information from these transactions beyond a confirmation that the purchase was completed.
Encrypted Vault (When Built)
All vault contents are encrypted on-device using AES-256. The key is derived from your PIN or biometric and never leaves your device. We have no access to vault contents. If you lose your PIN, the data is unrecoverable. There is no backdoor.
Local Storage
App preferences, premium status, gear loadout data, and resupply dates are stored in your device's local storage (shared_preferences). This data never leaves your device.
The Website — tier1offgrid.com
This is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. No login. No accounts. No cookies beyond what GitHub Pages sets by default for hosting. No tracking pixels. No ad networks. No analytics.
Third Parties
Apple App Store and Google Play Store handle all payment processing under their own privacy policies. This policy does not govern their practices.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Given that we collect nothing, changes are unlikely.
